  • Announcements:  January 16, 2017

    I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible; with liberty and justice for all.

    1. CTE Students- CTE will be meeting today.
    2. Due to snow days- Today will be a regular schedule day. Tuesday will be a full day with exams 2,4, and 6 and no CTE.  Wednesday will be a ½ day with exams for 1,3,5.  
    3. All talent show participants need to see Mrs. Hubble during lunch today. It is very important!
    4. Forensics tonight at 3:30 until 5:30.
    5. High School Students- You must have all of your time made up for 1st semester classes by the end of the day Wednesday January 18th or your grades will be cut in half. Next week is your last chance to make up time!
    6. Signups for the Ski Club trip this week will be during both lunches today and tomorrow.
    7. 7th and 8th grade girls basketball pictures are in the office. Please stop in at lunch, before school or after school to pick them up.
    8. Glow Dance 9-12th will be Feb. 3rd after the game until 11 pm.
    9. Attention sophomores and juniors. Student Government members have decided to add TWO reps for each grade.  Those interested should see Mrs. Hubble for a form to fill out.  All forms must be submitted by Jan. 18th
    10. Dual-Enrollment has been in session for full week- if you have any questions please see Mrs. Phillips!
    11. Seniors! Check the website under Scholarships and Financial aid for information on local scholarships. Gladwin and Midland Community Scholarships have been posted and are open for application now!!!
    12. Attention Softball girls- Gym is open on Saturdays from 12-1 for pitching and catching. Hitting if there aren’t too many people. 
    13. Attention all football players grades 7th-12th- the January Football Newsletter is read to be picked up. Please get one from the office, Coach Wicke, or Coach Wentworth.  Also the Football Program will begin weightlifting and conditioning on Tuesday January 10th.  Sessions will be held every Tuesday and Thursday in the High School weight room from 3:30-5:00.  Contact Coach Seiser with any questions. 
    14. Phillips is looking for students interested in co-op opportunity at City Hall. Duties could include record management, office organization, creating a social media presence and customer service; student must be polite, have good phone etiquette and be reliable.  Interested students please bring a resume to Mrs. Phillips, interviews held soon!!

    Events Tonight:  MS Boys Basketball 8th grade home/7th grade away v. Meridian.

    Events results:   Friday was a total sweep against Gladwin!

    Happy Birthday: Happy belated Birthday to: Aaron Wentworth, Alexis Cornell, Mitchell Knake, Chastine Brushaber, Gabriel Coggins, Austin Dobson, Dylan Kasper, Jordan Carr, Brandon Shearer, Cadence Augustine, Cody Baker, and Jasmine Cottelit.  Happy Birthday today to Haley Betz and Emily Burgess.
